Don't you people know that living a sedentary lifestyle is literally sabotaging your gains?
>sitting promotes poor posture, poor spinal curvature
>sitting for prolonged periods of time directly violates your body's natural physiology
>linked to muscle degeneration and depletion, particularly in legs
>excessive sitting can be linked to joint issues in legs caused by underuse/lack of stress
>restricts bloodflow to legs, reduces long-term bone strength/development in lower body
>excessive sitting directly linked to trends of obesity, cardiovascular disease
>redacts most, if not all, benefits of cardio if sitting for more than two continuous hours
At least get out from your desk and walk around or stretch once every twenty minutes. Sedentary lifestyles are the bane of the american populace and is one of the main reasons why over 66% of the population can't even run a mile in under ten minutes.
Don't you want to be able to stand on your own two feet for more than 60 minutes without becoming fatigued or needing to sit down? Give your fucking legs the activity they crave.
Standing desks are the thing of the future, seriously. I know it has a new-age retro connotation, and I know /fit/izens usually avoid that, but I think it's an investment worth making.
I don't care if you're an anti-cardio meathead - if you sit for more than 10 hours in a day, you're killing your body.

I use a standing desk, take a 5 minute stroll after 55 minutes, and regularly adjust my stance. It's great for productivity and I never feel sleepy at work anymore.
