Why should I only train lmao3day when starting out? Why not just go every day with Sunday off?
Man if there was only one place on this board where newbie advice was summed up for easy access...
Hmmmm....
Unless you are already playing sports and doing calisthenics, your body will burn out too quickly. You could just work through the DOMS, but your muscles won't have enough time to heal. Ideally, what you could do was a 5 day split like ZYZZ's template with the powerlifting say on Saturday off and use that for legs or rest.

Because at first it's best to give your body extra time to recover. Beginners should also start with full body routines each day, so no brosplits or individual training that you might normally spread over the course of 4+ days.

Day 1: Legs
Day 2: Chest
Day 3: Back
Day 4: Shoulders
Day 5: Arms
Rinse and repeat with no rest days. I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with two other miscellaneous meals, and three scoops of brown rice protein.
Get 6+ hours of sleep, and you should be fine. When I do take a rest day, it's usually after two or three workout cycles.
