I know 500 calorie deficits are advised for steady weight loss and avoiding starvation mode, but what if I'm already eating 4000 calories a day and my BMR is being exceeded, can I burn 1,000 calories a day then?
Pic unrelated
how much do you think you need to do to burn 1000 calories

starvation doesn't happen if you eat under BMR. your body just starts consuming muscle along with fat to hit daily caloric needs. you need to be in pretty big deficit to go into starvation mode

by doing nothing your body burns twice that amount
>>39471912
Your body is always burning muscle, there's nothing magical about going below BMR

I meant burn a 1,000 calorie deficit, 5,000 in total

im confused, You want to eat 5000 calories a day and end with a 1000 calorie deficit??
500 calories deficits are bullshit, you can easily and healthily lose 1% of your weight each week, just adjust for that.

What the fuck?

yea its fine
better for u if u do exercise that burns calories then re eat the calories lost
How do you constantly measure your calories when you're eating different foods or do you eat the same shit every week?

You read the labels and google the nootch info and weigh your portions and overestimate and envy the dead.

My plan was to eat 4,000 calories and burn 5,000 a day. (1000 deficit)
