So apparently being an aussie i eat too much meat, so i was looking into replacing my chicken breast with Legumes.
Except I'm running into the issues of either eating over a Kilogram of shit, or getting soy beans but then having to boil them for 2-3 hours or even more.
Is there a special middle ground between the two shit-tier options that I'm missing?
Why is everyone in Australia suddenly becoming vegan?
Seems like almost every person I come into contact with (age 25-30) is talking about how they're vegan, vegetarian, or trying one or the other out.
I meme'd my sisters vegan friends into eating some non-vegan deserts.

i assume youre just making a comment on your experiences and know thats OPs simply saying hes trying to cut down on meat consumption?

Is this the new diet thread
7-12
banana
orange
cup of sugarless quick-oats
4 eggs
medium tomato
12-5
4 small fish filet
1 cup dry whole grain rice
1/2 cup dry red beans
large carrot
1 cup cashews/peanuts/almonds mix
5-11
2 chicken breast
1 large broccoli stalk (an entire broccoli)
1 cup dry whole grain rice
1 cup dry red beans
2 medium tomato
1/2 cup cashews/peanuts/almonds mix
apple
Lots of water and green tea throughout.
Tip: don't boil shit that needs to be slow boiled. Rice, beans, etc. Let it sit in cold water overnight then run it on med-high for 20 mins once you want it

I don't plan going vegan, I'm not gonna stop eating my Kangaroo Mince + pasta anytime soon, shit is fucking delicious, just exploring what options are out there that might be better than what I'm doing now.

No, just asking questions, but do literally all Legumes and shit require multiple hours of prep?

White rice doesn't but fuck white rice.
I soak brown rice and beans overnight every night. Boil it in water for 20 mins then eat.
Not sure if Quinoa is a legume, but it's healthy as fuck, full of protein, and cooks in boiled water in 15 minutes. I used to pound it daily and might go back
I mean realistically, if we want to stop the methane cow fart death of earth we'll all have to be vegan or at least our kids will at some point. Big ups op.

I'll check it out. At the moment if i have rice, i usually grab Sushi rice (says it's 5-8 Protein per 100g).

We can adjust their diet to decrease methane, but realistically cows have the worst meat of the bunch; linked to heart disease and nowehere as lean as turkey or even Kangaroo (which cooks like beef but is very tasty) and not as cheap as chickens to farm.
Their milk is delicious though, sadly, so unless everyone adapts to that thin almond/soy milk shit, funding cow diet research is probably the best possible solution since getting rid of steaks and milk is never going to happen.

Can any ausbros help me out on a cheap diet plan? I'm 18yrs old and brand new to anything /fit/related, I need roughly 11 175 kj daily with medium exercise, any suggestions?

young soy beans or edamame can just be microwaved.
