>Stall on chin ups
>can only do max 16 per set. usu do only 3 sets in a day
>decide one day to do 100 chin ups, only resting at most 60 seconds between sets
>it took probably 30 minutes, putting in sets of 3-5 one after the other
>sore as hell the next few days
Can now do 18 per set. Pretty cool. Goes to show you that if you want to get good at doing loads of chin ups, do loads of chin ups. still a long way to go though
>>39431511
>useless for hyperthrophy because tension will be minimal trying to do so many chin ups as fast as you can
>useless for strength because not weighted
good job anon

As I specified, the goal was to increase the # of repetitions
>>39431684
That is progress, good job, ignore the jelly hater who probs sucks at chin ups :)
>>39431711
ty anon. I know a lot of guys try to up their reps for the military or otherwise training standards and might try to do a typical 3-5 set scheme, which perhaps isn't the best for volume
>>39431511
Doing weight sets will increase amount of unweighted chin-ups you can do, anon
How the fuck do I level up my weighted chin ups?
Recommended sets and reps?
I have been in 25 lb added for like 2 months
My weight is same so hays not a factor.
Stalin like a motherfucker
>>39431633
Time under tension is a meme.
>>39431511
I stalled on 3x8 and 3x5(weighted), will try this some day.
>>39431970
>level up
>>39431511
I can barely squeeze out 3 after going to failure a few times, regardless of rest (tried 5 mins) - 1 set max is near 20.

faggot
>>39431970
Try just adding an extra set or two on each training day or training more times in the week

Maybe that's just down to endurance or recovery speed. But it's really just about hitting a seemingly too high goal and not resting too much in between. Like doing 200 pushups within the shortest amount of time possible. Even if you can only do 3 reps per set, just keep at it. It's kind of fun
