Thoughts on jump rope? Is it as effective as running or swimming to inscrease stamina?

Jump rope is good cardio.
Still have to eat right though.

Speed rope is the way to go if you want to turn into a real cardio workout.
You're limited by how fast you're able to swing and jump. Just youtube some speed rope workouts.

absolutely
ive started jumping a year ago and my legs and calves have gotten bigger, still i can lose my belly fat tho, because i didnt do abs exercises, but i lose some considerably pounds
try jumping 450 times, 3 series of 150 each, at least 3 times a week

i started jump roping for the giggles and noticed that i was out of breath after like 100 reps @medium speed (was my highest i could do at that time)
i kept grinding and can do ~300 at max speed now which heavily increased my stamina.I noticed it during sex and occasional running with my gf that i can last longer.
possible related bonus point: i started breathing deeper
I'd recommend it from personal experience.

You wouldn't lose stomach fat faster by training your abs, anon. You cannot direct and localize fat burning

another thing i wanted to add:
i started doing it HIIT style a week ago. It fucks me up sideways straight through my butthole no homo
can't tell about the longterm results since the time frame is too small but i'm confident that it will help me (no guarantee)

t. some dude on 4chan
ive been dieting for years while going to gym (never in my lifetime trained my abs, I hate doing abs exercises, makes me hurt my back)
the rest of my body is fit except my abdomen, when i sit and bend my belly looks like something an obese person would have
if you dont do abs training youll never have six pack, as simple as that

Nigga, I wasn't talking about having a six pack, I was saying that having done those exercises would do nothing to reduce the actual amount of fat on your stomach. you CANNOT localize fat burning. The stores will deplete in a predetermined way, just as they are filled, depending on your genetics.
So no shit your abdomen is weak if you never trained it, I'm just saying that wouldn't change whatever fat you have stored (though it would probably make it look better)
Pull and push ups are great abb exercises, btw

my bad mate, must have misread your post, youre right though, its just im getting tired of this situation
thanks for your advice
Does anyone have any advice for how to into jump rope? I just can't get it going. I'm only able to get the rope over my head by swinging wildly instead of the controlled wrist movements I see people using in videos and I can't do more than 3 or 4 jumps in a row. Not to mention for some reason I can't stop jumping way too high when the rope gets going even if I tell myself not to. I adjusted my ropes length and it should be good for my height too.
