My roommate's gf is always talking about rock climbing, how strong her grip is, how strong her back is, etc. I told her to do her max number of pull ups, and that I would triple it. She didn't believe it. She did 5 (last rep questionable). I banged out 15 with ease, weighing 70 lbs more than her. Lmao @ women. They have no idea how weak they are compared to men.

Rock climbers are insufferable in general though.

Hey man, I'm an oly lifter turned former boulderer, it gave me a huge grip strength and back pull strength advantage, I was doing 5x315 deadlift in a week and I could bang out 40-50 pull ups with two deadhang rests in between at 190lbs after three weeks of lifting. For males, it does give you a huge pull advantage.

you are too heavy. It's no joke, it's hard as fuck. I'm light weight and pullups/dips are my strongest exercises, I only managed 1m16secs, and it gets exponentially heavier.

I can deadhang for 10+ minutes on a normal straight pullup bar at 200 and I can DL 565 now, I think I have enough grip strength to do it. Additionally I do more forearm work so.

the bar is thicker than normal bar and also moves, it rotates, you will just hang there with your fingers around, not your whole hand. 10mins deadhang is amazing if its true. just look for it at funfairs.

Its not really amazing when you're a climber, I know people who could do near endless deadhangs with one arm resting, that's what I do also BTW.
