What does /fit/ bench? How does /fit/ go about increasing their bench? Ive been stuck at 205 for about 2 months now, how can i get my bench up?

I gave up benching for OHP and push press a few months ago. My shoulders had that dopey rolled forward look after a while. The most I ever did was 325 for 2 reps.

I have had the same issue at 205 for about 4 months. I switched from Candito to Grey Skull recently and my working sets are up

So there's guys at my gym who only do half-rep bench press. Like, they stop when their arms are parallel to the floor. These guys are ripped and have been natty lifting for years so I guess they know what they're doing.

Can anyone explain this to me? I'm afraid to ask them personally. Does it have something to do with their shoulder health?

Correct Spoto is 1 inch off chest. Ideally you are close to your chest as possible without touching

Half repping is in no way Spoto press

But I guess even if you half rep, you'll still make gains with years of lifting. Not ideal though

WTF. I've been stuck at 205 for the last Month as well. Wtf is with that number like it's just an ultimate wall. I've been doing heavier SKullcrushers and Tris/lats to see if it helps.

sounds similar to a floor press (although of course not actually on the floor). Shoulder health is probably part of it, and I personally find it easier to "engage" my chest than when I go down all the way.
