sup /fit/, give it to me straight, is it a good idea to do push-ups every day? Why or why not?
Do you wanna defeat all your enemies with a single punch?
Yes, it is. How the fuck do you think inmates get so jacked?

Sure, why not?
Just make sure to actually work out, the push ups are just supplementary.
I usually do 150 upon waking up and 100 upon going to sleep.

I like to do one really slow (5 mins) push-up in the morning then in the evening I go back down really slowly (5 mins)
I don't get much done during the day
I do 100 pushups every hour

It depends, you'll get used to it rather quicky, try to advance to harder progressions, unless doing high reps its what you actually want. I've been doing calisthenics only for ~3 years and when i reached the my goal of 1000 pushups per session of 1h my muscle was hard as a diamond but it stopped growing. Now i do weighted one arm pushup and planche progressions with low volume/high intensity and though its not as hard as before it started growing a little again. Hope it helps
