Hey /fit/ I could really use your help.

Eight months ago, I hurt my wrist when benching (tried to do the roll of shame) but I somehow managed to push my wrist back.

It's gotten better throughout the months, after a month I had full mobility, but could not lift heavy. I stopped lifting for around 6 months.

I still feel it eight months later, It doesn't hurt but, I when I press on the opposite side of my thumb, I can feel a strange feeling go up my arm like a nerve. Usually feels feels sore when I wake up or don't move it.

This usually goes away if I stretch it or massage it.

Anyone know what this weird shooting sensation is? Will it go away? I'm a poor college student and can't see a doc. I'm thinking it might be a tendon since it feels better after stretching and massaging.

When you injured your wrist, how did you injure it specifically? What motion and direction did it go in? Did it produce a sound? Did it swell up? Did it bruise? Did it feel stiff afterwards or just tender?

The bar pushed back on my palm when trying to push the bar off me. It did not hurt at all when it happened, but I noticed something strange during the next sets. I went home and took a nap and when I woke up it hurt moving it in any direction. Just felt like strains I had as a kid.

No bruising, sounds or swelling.

As of now, I only get a sharp strange feeling (not painful) when rotating my wrist or pushing on the bottom part of my palm on the opposite side of my thumb.

Okay, this question is going to sound strange, but does the sensation feel restricted to an area as though it's the shape of a ball or a circle? Just a round localised area? Or does the sensation radiate to the surrounding area?

Its just a specific area, like a line starting at the bottom of my palm going upwards halfway up my forearm.

Okay, the answer that you didn't want is that you're going to have to go and see a doctor. There's just too much going on in that part of the body.

That said, it does sound a lot like a connective tissue trauma, whether that's within you cartilage or ligaments etc I simply can't say. If i am right, then you want to see a doctor because they might be able to do something now but if it starts hurting in a couple of years, they won't be able to help you as effectively.

Alright, thanks for the help. Hopefully I haven't caused any permanent damage eight months in!
