The funny part is I don't look disproportionate

Dyel maybe, but not disproportionate.

Why is my deadlift so fucking garbage?
>inb4 "because you hip thrust"
I started doing it thinking my glutes were too weak to diddly heavy, but first time doing the exercise i lifted more than my diddly (with shit form, but even after i cleaned my form, my hip thrust progress skyrocketed and my diddly still won't budge)

P.s. Posted a thread similar to this before, just got a lot of shit talking and no real advice.. but the frustration after testing my 1rms this last week had driven me so crazy i had to post again out of desperation

I posted vid of me deadlifting last thread and recieved precisely zero critiques or advice, even from you autistic form nazis..
If you keep the thread alive i will take a new video tomorrow morning; should you (rightfully) disbelieve me.

260 bench is good for an intermediate but you should be pulling 4plts.
If the hip thrusts and weighted chinups aren't helping your deadlift then stop doing them.
Follow a proper strength program and focus much less on your accessories.

Three things.

1. Most people can hip thrust significantly more than they can deadlift once they get the movement down.

2. The reason hip thrusts aren't carrying over is almost certainly because the thing that's fucking up your deadlift is not your glute strength. It could be a lot of things, but the usual suspects are going to be hamstrings and lower back (sometimes quads, but that's rare unless the lifter isn't squatting).

3. Post a proper form video next time, not one of you dicking around with roughly 60% of your 1RM.
