Is abs everyday just retarded broscience? How often should you train them to get the best results the quickest, is Monday and Thursday good enough?

if you do compounds you are using your core all the time during them so you don't really need to do any additional work for abs. maybe do some hanging leg raises or core compressions when warming up.
abs are meme. this is why every skinny dyel fag has them. it's all about low bf

Not always.
It's different for everyone.
For some people Squats and Deadlifts are enough.
Some people need dedicated ab work.
Some people need a lot of dedicated ab work.
If you get to a low bf% and can see your abs, your training is good.
If you can't see them, you probably need to train them more.
But generally, "abs everyday" is a good idea compared to training them only once per week or not at all.
I guess there's nothing wrong with doing a few sets of abs every day. You don't have to do 5 different exercises for 5 sets to failure every day, but 1-2 exercises per day for 3 sets each is probably not a bad idea.
Front squats will give you everything you need.
You cannot cheat through a heavy front squat... You have to have a strong core.
Go learn how to front squat and tell me your abs aren't the sorest they've ever been afterwards.

This. A 100% tru. Not everyone has the same insertions. Some people have abs that are naturally more "popping out" than others. Those abs are much more visible, even if they're not extremely targeted. Others with really flat abs need some extra work for additional thickness.

abs every day stems form the fact that ab training among regular stupid folk consists of sets of 30+ crunches, bicycle kicks, and other 'toning' trash, consisting of isolated mucular endurance training. if you train for endurance you can train every day.
doing 3x10 weighte crunches or something every day would be a terrible idea.
also, training frequency is a function of many factors and choosing your frequency first is not a good idea.
i never particularly tried to get great abs but i have seen good results with hanging leg raises twice a week on top of squats, deads, pull ups and other things which hit abs hard.
