I always thought BCAA supplements were a scam because your body turns whey into BCAA anyway but I got a free sample and I feel more hydrated and my mouth is salivating from it. Did I get it all wrong? Are there actual benefits to BCAA supplements?

The Jews appreciate your shekels.
>I also buy BCAA. :^(

Top kek
>What is placebo effect?
BCAAs are supposedly absorbed faster, since your body doesn't have to go through the work of using enzymes to break proteins into amino acids first.
Whether it makes any real difference to your performance, who knows.

It's definitely not placebo, I think they just put a bunch of electrolytes in it to give you that feeling. I still wouldn't buy that shit, way too expensive for too little.

I didn't buy it, it's from a free sample that a supplement store gave me.
You can buy bcaas cheap from bulk supp sites. They def have an impact on performance. I just hate how my sweat smells like he bcaa chemicals after prolonged use.

I bought it a couple of times when I was training muay thai... I kinda felt I had more energy during workouts, but I don't know. Definitly woudn't buy it again though, too many shekels.

Also, it made my urine bright yellow. Like, Chernobyl yellow.

I still have no clue why anyone who lifts and has a triple digit IQ doesn't realize that whey is fucking retarded to take supplementally when BCAA and freeform amino supplements exist...

Why would that be? You don't always (or ever?) need fast-acting amino acids.
Your stomach will break down whey, casein etc into amino acids anyway, the only difference will be how long it takes.
Unless you are in need of getting amino acids into your bloodstream over the course of the next ten-or-so minutes, why would you need BCAA.

Because it's cheaper.
i take 3 scoops of whey that contains in that dosage 8200mg of BCAAs
it's the best whey i ever took, i feel the difference, it cost me just 2 dollars more than the one without any BCAA that i used to take
in my opinion bretty gud :DDDD

BCAAs are only needed for fasted weight-training, and even that isn't 100% necessary
