Do calories matter as long as I'm consuming the necessary micronutrients and protein?
5'11" & 170lbs
Trying to lose fat and gain muscle.
Eating around 1200 calories and 150g of protein a day.
Asain? Wtf I'm gay now
Consider 16:8 fasting - 16 hours of not eating and 8 hours of. Some swedish guy made it popular but it's actually somewhat efficient according to >studies

The benefit is that it's easier to keep calories within your range. It's definitely good for cutting.
>>39325533
Calories matter more than your macros you idiot
>>39325533
You can't bulk and cut at the same time. 1200 calories a day is fucking starvation mode you idiot.

Except you can and bulking and cutting are largely memes
What's wrong with cutting on too little calories if I'm getting all my nutrients and my lifts are still going up? I've been running an ECA stack and eating at most 1700 calories at 185lbs

What's your goal? losing fat, building muscle or both? what's your TDEE?
You can build muscle while losing fat if you're a beginner but you have to do a small cut about 10-20%. You might not lose WEIGHT for a while but that's just your body building muscle like crazy thanks to noob gains

that calculator gives me about 15% higher TDEE than scoobies using sedentary as my activity level, I wouldn't trust it
