when's the part where I just start lifting?

When you walk into the gym and move the barbell. SS and other starter programs are about as simple as can be.

You read the book so you know why you're lifting the way the program tells you to, and how to do the lifts without hurting yourself.
Seriously, buy it. The kindle version is like ten bux and it's detailed enough that you'll never need another text on exercises with a barbell ever again.

SS is a meme anyway. You don't even need to train legs that much. I started out with a 2pl8 squat with zero lifting experience.

Don't listen to anybody here that tells you to read the sticky. Just don't do it.
They'd also suggest you spend every night eating an entire tub of lard while guzzling down an industrial size bucket of milk before going out and deadlifting 8pl8 until your back is fucking broke for max aesthetics (meaning either you're fat or you're full auschwitz mode).
The majority of /fit/ knows next to nothing about nutrition or weight training. Do people really think they're going to find useful information about fitness on an anime image board?
We're all shitposting brah, go to dedicated fitness sites and watch legitimate fitness gurus like Jeff Cavaliere and Scott Herman on youtube for info on how to train properly.
