If you don't deadlift at all then your muscles atrophy. Less muscle means less support, and therefore more pain for your injury. By all means take it slow, but ceasing to lift entirely will probably worsen the injury.

So I've deloaded deadlift on stronglifts twice. But my squat and bench are still going up. My current deadlift is stuck at 160x5 while squat is progressing easily at 155kg 5x5.
Bench is also easily progressing at 105kg 5x5. What do I do now that Ive deloaded twice but only on deadlift. I feel my upper back is
