>newfag at lifting (only on my second week)
>slightly injure myself for going too heavy on OHP
>2 days later it feels like it has healed
>randomly stretching my arms/back
>the pain suddenly kicks back in full force
>now whenever I lean my head forward or to the side I feel sharp pain in my right side upper back
What the fuck do I do now? I was going to do squats, OHPs and DLs today. I probably shouldn't do OHPs I guess but can I at least still do squats and DLs? Or do I seriously just have to do nothing until the pain is completely gone?

I get pain in my neck and upper back/trap when i tried to go too heavy on OHP.
Fixed it with a foam roller and a tennis ball.
Try some selfmassage with a tennis ball or massage ball. If it is a muscle related, that could help.

pinched nerve
visit a doctor.. and dont do barbell OHP the next year, there are other good exercises for your shoulders
if you have a girlfriend (which you dont) tell her to massage your upperback every evening
>OHP, squats AND deadlifts
>one day

That's the stronglifts program though, which is in the sticky.

Really hope this isn't true, a fucking year seems a bit much and I really liked the simplicity of this program. Will see a doctor if a massage ball or roller doesn't help though.

>only on my second week
did you start at empty bar on OHP like you were supposed to?
>>39304965
I did, but after my first week I skipped a whole week and afterwards I continued where I left off, which was fine for pretty much everything except the OHP and so I fucked up what I'm guessing is the trapezius muscle on my right side because I couldn't raise the bar properly on my last set. I can feel the lower part of the muscle straining when turning / pulling my neck certain ways but the pain is more dull and bearable now than it was when I made thread so I don't think it's anything TOO serious.

maybe work on your mobility. basic weight lifting stretches. and also learn how to brace your core. for OHP grip and bracing your core are the keys to performing the movement safely. yt three press fixes and weightlifting stretches from the same channel
