What's the best way to bench without aggravating a lower back/hip injury?
I could do it flat back bodybuilder style, but is there any point even benching if I do it that way?

Try benching with your legs in the air. You might actually have a legit reason to do it.
Or try dumbbells.

how the fuck do you manage to risk lower back/hip injury while benching?
>>39291647
just don't arch your back and have it flat on the bench. there is no way you can apply pressure to lower back/hip that way

nvm, i read OP too quickly, didn't pick up on pre-existing injury at first

Yes I know all those fagot styles would eliminate any back stress, but they will also take a lot of weight off my bench, and also not be that beneficial for performance (don't train for looks).
I was asking if there is a way to bench properly but not injure my back?

tried incline?

I have years ago, but that's a different lift.

well man I guess it's time to cut and do some curls or something, because lifting heavy might not be the best option for you with that injury
But go to some actual fitness forms and ask around, because you won't accept that as an answer.

That's sad, it was so didappointing to give up squating and deadlifting a year ago, but I thought atleast able to feel a bit strong benching and doing pull ups. But becoming entirely weak will just be it for me.
