Okay fit my TDEE calculated at 2900 based on light exercise and 3300 based on moderate. I fall into the moderate based on my activity level but I hold myself to the light to try to be realistic.
Long story short, I have been following this for 16 days and have a total calorie deficit in this time of 15,100, which should equate to a loss of 4.3 lbs.
The weird part is I have lost nothing and actually gained weight.
My question is this: with dedication and sticking to this deficit while also going to the gym, how long should it typically take to see the weight start to fall off? With most diet plans I would assume to see at least some progress within 3 weeks, no?
Sure you're not miscounting calories?

Positive. Everything that goes in my mouth gets logged into my myfitnesspal app and I portion out everything on my food scale at home

Then your TDEE is wrong
>>39267265
Ok let's get this straight
How fat are you?
>>39267451
This.
Also, calculate based on a sedentary lifestyle.
>>39267457
Really not that fat. I'm 6'1 208lbs but my waist is only 33.4 inches (don't know exact bf%
I have a reasonable muscle base just not sure why dropping the weight is such a bitch for me. I'm 24 and, at my peak fitness 4 years ago I was 188 at 6%bf

So your TDEE is wrong. Just eat 1500
>>39267470
Even based on the sedentary lifestyle, I still have a deficit of 8170 which would be 2.33 lbs lost, and I've seen a gain in weight.
Plus, pic related is my Fitbit steps for the recent time period. Not sure my activity level would quite qualify as sedentary, although obviously steps aren't really the full picture. Just a reference to my activity level

Then you aren't counting calories correctly. If you aren't losing weight it's one of those two things. Just eat less of what you have been eating
>>39267542
just cut to 1500 for a week and see what happens
>>39267629
Will do. Hopefully that will get my body going again - best and worst thing I ever did was get a girl and get away from my routine
