Does drinking vodka and other hard liquors that have zero carbs kick one out of ketosis? There are zero carbs, fats, and proteins but they do have calories.
Can the body metabolize these calories at all? How does it even work?

Alcohol has 7kcal per gram
Fat has 9kcal per gram
Carbs/protein only gave 4kcal per gram.
I don't know its effect on ketosis though.

>drinks hard liquor with empty kcals
>does keto though
/fit/ shitposting at it's finest

They didn't say zero kcal
It's obviously a form of sugar.

he does keto, which fucks you up completely with the assumed benefit of "stricter diet helps me keep on board" and drinks alcohol. he's the incarnation of the modern /fit/izen that will follow some niche idiotic fad diet in order to feel special while failing at the basics

It shouldn't.

Carbs aren't the only thing that'll kick you out of ketosis. Sufficient calories from any non-fat source will do it, IIRC.
I'm not sure exactly how much you'd need to make that happen though.
Well... it is burned for energy before anything else... So i don't know but bump for interest
