What do you guys do for abs
>calisthenics are bad
>sqats and deadlifts working abs is a meme
What is the answer then
ab roller
Lets address two things first:
>calisthenics are a meme
No, but doing 50 sit-ups in a row is endurance work, not optimal for hypertrophy or strength. You can do weighted crunches on a decline bench or other calisthenics with weight.
>squats and deadlifts working abs is a meme
Also not true, they just don't work them hard enough for abs to progress in size and strength proportional to the rest of you.
You should try rope crunches, weighted crunches, abs wheels, windshield wipers, or any other form of ab work that requires more effort and places you in the 8-12 rep range.

Not training abs is the shittiest training meme ever.
I trained for 2 years without having any particular ab exercise in my routine. Fell for the "compounds hit abs enough, you dont need to isolate them" bullshit.
Now started doing actual ab exercises for about 3 months and my stomach looks SO much better. My lifts have even gone up because my abs got stronger
To stay on topic, my fav ab exercises are side planks, hanging leg raises with weight between feet and torso twist with cable machine
