What kind of lifting routine compliments MMA training?
Just a basic SS/Strength training routune?
If you're new to lifting something like SS would give you the best all around strength gains
, and your sparring would basically be your cardio.
Only thing is starting strength has a lot of lower body emphasis, which can help with grappling but the DOMS from squatting 3X a week might interfere with your MMA

Do greyskull for strength, then when yoh hit intermediate level, focus on plyometrics like jumping squats, box jumps, cleans, plyo push ups, ballistic work (throwing weights around-usually medicine balls)
Getting stronger always helps
i do pushups and sit ups and drink pleanty of juice

How would I know when I reach intermediate? When I plateau?
You know why Jon Jones is #1 P4P? Because that guy powerlifts while doing MMA

And roids :)

You need to jump rope, shadow box and run too

So I'm thinking I do this
Greyskull and cardio at 9 a.m to 10:30 a.m
MMA at like 6:30 p.m to 9 p.m
Though on Tuesday/Thursday I do MMA from 6:30 to 7:30

actually I'm pretty sure he said it slowed him down during his OSP fight and he backed off of it
>>39233231
Didn't he not powerlift until after the cocaine hit and run?
And reminder that he's /fraud/ cheater

Candito linear explosiveness program
But long term olympic lifting
You should probably just train more

True and he said he was dissapointed in his peformance.
So...is strength training bad or was it the diet?
Not OP but what should my macros be for MMA/SS? Like caloric consumption
>>39235846
Aim for 3000

sound good
remember to stay hydrated annon
most athletes do strength training annon
you should also work on being explosive in your presses(upper and lower)

Forget about this stupid SS-shit. Only WS4SB is good enough for real athletes.
