nah I've modified it quite a bit to try and make better bench and OHP progress. Worked for a while, but now everything but sqwats have stalled big time. gaining about .5lbs a week btw

Just out of curiousity why wouldnt you use this through intermediate phase? And I low-bar squat and hate deadlifts thats why I dont do them. Every couple weeks I'll go with my friend whos into powerlifitng and I do deads with him though, just dont like em.

It is also my experience that an upper/lower works better than TM. Heck, even HLM does.
Vanilla TM is too much squat volume, and too little Bench/Press volume.

isnt TM basically HLM? and you can do upper/lower TM, not sure why youre excluding those

TM is actually HLH.
The problem is the vanilla version: squat 5x5 on monday, and a 5RM two/three days later. I always overtrained, it is too taxing (even gaining weight and not doing sports).
I saw better gains on HLM: even though I had a balls-to-the-wall 5x5 squat workout, it didn't matter if I didn't fully recover by friday.
It is possible to lower the volume in volume day TM though.

I'm doing Greyskull LP now and it's awesome. Maybe it wouldn't work for a true intermediate lifter though.

Squat light: 3x5 @ 90% of monday's 5x5
DL 5RM
Pendlay rows: 5 sets, descending weight

don't wanna do stuff like slingshot and legs up bench though, or lunges. you got any replacement ideas for those?

dont know about the others. why no legs up? just figure out some random lower body exercise to replace lunges with
