This is currently my diet. I weigh 220 lbs and I'm trying to bring my body fat down. Currently eating 1700cals a day. I'm eating two servings of oats (carbs), two serving of raw almonds(no sodium, fats) and one pound of chicken (protein). been doing this for about two weeks now and have noticed results. I also take a multivitamin (rainbow light) and a vit D supplement (natures way) for the micronutrients. should i continue this way or should i replace one or both supps for vegetables? and if so which veggies should i start consuming

yes replace the multi for vegetables. buy two a week. i would say any leafy green like spinach and then a colorful vegetable so red cabbage, carrots, squash, beets broccoli, cauliflower. replace the almonds with some greek yogurt and add a fiber supplement and keep the vit d.

Make sure you're consuming activated almonds instead of regular inactive almonds. Should solve any diet issues you may have.

A light breakfast at 9:00
A fruit at 12:00
Protein with a lot of salad at 14:30
A fruit at 18:00
A light dinner at 21:00

A light breakfast or dinner could be a toast with low fat cheese, a slice of turkey and whole wheat bread. Or a Greek yoghurt and a fruit. Or two boiled eggs. Or cereal.

thank you for replying. i will buy some veggies next time i do my rounds shopping. would spinach and carrots only do the trick? also why should i replace almonds with greek yogurt, would it be for the better calorie to protein ratio?

while it is very easy to lose weight by following a strict calorie plan, i want to lose weight with a simple plan ( like eating 3 to 4 different types of food only) AND keep my immune system healthy

Eating only 3-4 different foods for 5-6 months is not going to happen, you will give up long before that.

It's not simple, eating the same foods every day, it's very hard.

If youre considered about your immune system maybe eat a fruit or work in zinc.

you could compare the calories in the part skim or full fat greek yogurt. it may only be 10-20 more.
