It's just less weight for you to push up than a standard push up.
Once you can do sets of 20 knee push ups, try adding full pushups.

Actually, you may want to add planks to your knee pushup routine, it'll help strengthen the other muscles used in pushups

do that and clean up your diet + eat more/less depending on your situation (fatass or skelly). additionally to the pushups work your entire body, you can do this with your bodyweight alone in the beginning. eventually this stuff is gonna be too easy but if you currently cant do a pushup I guess it's great exercise for your current situation. in the future invest in a pullup bar (you can also do this right now but you will need an assistance band)

pic related is just an example, depending on your equipment and strengthlevel there are A LOT of possibilities. I would just start with something like this and choose

>2 exercises from quads/glutes section
>1 exercise from biceps/triceps (alternating every other workout)
>1-2 chest exercises
>1-2 back exercises
>1 abs exercise

and do this every other day. I would do sth like 3 sets of 8-12 reps and try to add weight or progress to more difficult variations. >>39207268 already explained simple progression for pushups, similar stuff can be done for other exercises. if you have any form of weights you can also just add weight instead.

rest should generally be around 60-90sec but if you need more in the beginning it's fine, I wouldnt go over 3min though.

if you have a bit of money get a pullup bar, dumbbells and/or kettlebells because it gives you a much greater exercise variety.

once 3 sets of 8-12 become too easy an alternative to doing harder variations and/or adding weight is always to increase the reps and maybe add 1-2 more sets. I wouldnt go overboard and not really go for more than 20-30reps but it is your call.
