What's the general consensus on Powerade/Gatorade? Should

I like it for my pre workout carbs. Idk, if you need the cals why not.

Most people are not going to sweat out enough salt in an hour long workout to need it replenished immediately, if you are doing some crazy endurance work you might think about using pic related every third Nalgene bottle worth of water.

What about the ones with Zero cal or sugar or whatever?

Yes.

Pedialyte is the only one I actually think has any benefit to be honest. Used to drink it when I was a Devildork on humps and stuff (not my invention, just something passed down). Probably still balogna but I don't know, it did seem to do the trick compared to 'sports drinks'.

Not true. Pedialyte has a balanced amount of electrolytes that is made to rehydrate you in all necessary minerals and nutrients. You won't get the same osmotic effect in Gatorade.
But for most purposes Gatorade is fine outside of those who have diarrhea, just hit weight for a meet, or so dehydrated you think you could die.
