Do curls/push downs or any "bro" lifts really have any carry over to athletics and strength, or are they purely vanity? Will being able to curl more actually transfer over to "being strong"?

>does larger muscles that can push more weight have any carry over to being strong
are you 14?
>>39196385
Not OP, but just wanted to let you know that you made me enjoy my day a little bit more
>>39196385
Yea babbyweight curls totally build more strength than HEAVY fucking weighted chins
Babbyweight tricep isolations totally build more strength than heavy bench, dips, and press
>>39196385
>all muscle training translates to strength
Nope.
>>39196364
They do, but not nearly as much as compound exercises will. Compounds train many more muscle groups at the same time, and they are trained together as a system. I don't think anyone has the definitive answer for why compounds work so much better than isolations, but we just know from experience that they do.

Lifting baby weight high rep isolation doesn't fucking do anything unless you're on gear. It doesn't make you look good, it doesn't make you strong, it doesn't do shit. It's why every shitty commercial gym has a sea of horrible out of shape people and a few people who look amazing because they're on gear.

you didn't get what he was trying to say...
All I know is that part of my tricep wouldn't grow until I did overhead extensions. That long head is hard to get without isolation.
>>39196407
y not both
>>39198038
That's all you know? You don't know how to clean your bum?
>>39196407
yeah, if someone is doing babyweight curls, he sure as hell can do weighted chins, rite?
fucking retard. i bet you're that fat retard who kipps pullups and can't even do 10 perfect form ones
>>39196544
alright fatty
why do people believe direct bicep work is "non-functional"?
Have they never had to carry rocks at a construction site or logs in their arms? If you're not doing direct bicep work at least weekly for tendon health, your legs and core will trick your arms into writing a check they can't cash.

Her gut reminds me of lenny.
