My son. My dear, beautiful boy. Such is the price of unnatural way of living. You laughed at me, you expelled me, you denounced me. But look at you now; weak, scared. Vulnerable. You see your future in shambles, you question your very existence. But it's not too late yet, not late at all. You can still choose. Will you legpress 2000lbs and thank the steroids when your hip gets replaced for the second time? Or will you choose the natty way, and experience how deep the skateboard squats can truly take you?

Did his back just give out after years of abuse or was it a particular incident that did this to him?

Fuck it brahs.

It's not like you can do fun shit with your body as you grow old anyways. You'll lack the energy to go do fun shit with age. Might as well use your body to its limits and destroy it in your precious youth rather than be conservative just so you can walk to the kitchen easier in 40 years.

If the long term effects (30+ years) of lifting heavy shit scare you that much, then just fucking neck yourself by the time you reach 30 and boom. You are now free to abuse the shit out of your youthful body because you'll be dead before the bad effects of lifting occur anyways

if you can become a legend like ronnie is it's definitely worth it. for us normal people it's definitely worth it as well because lifting keeps you healthy. if you want to avoid back problems then lift. being sedentary is the worst thing you can do.
>>
>>39136222
It's worth ruining your knees to make 30million as a soccer player. Maybe it's even worth it to ruin your back in a pole vault going for gold in an amatuer sport. But destroying your body with drugs to make just a few hundred thousand per year for a subjective beauty contest only freaks care about is insane.
>>
>>39139470
Not everyone wants to be a bodybuilder. I could give a shit. I don't even see how he's a legend honestly, he's just a guy that pumped himself full of drugs.

Only thing I want to be is a strong OLY lifter but it's still not worth it to me to juice for that. I'll do it and work to get as strong as I can. But I still have no desire to juice. I already know I'm not going to be in the Olympics because of that reason, it's ok the game is rigged, no point in me playing.
>>
>>39139418
Compared to Jon-Pall Sigmarson, thoe are just some complicatioms.
>>
>>39139556
Jon Pall's condition was congenital. He was born with a heart defect, it wasn't caused by lifting or drugs.
>>
>>39139366
So does this mean he's not natty?
>>
>>39136222
Risk/reward
>>
>>39138624
My dad is 70 and is still strong as fuc. This is probably due to him training smarter as he got older. Most of his squat volume is hip belt squat or front squat. Most of his deadlifting is one-legged to limit weight on his back. He began benching in a semitight denim shirt (not nearly as tight as comp shirts), and having help unracking the bar, and his shoulders are in good shape.

You can lift into old age as long as you don't let egolifting fuck your back and joints. Remember, just because you can't feel the pain doesn't mean your behind the neck press isn't fucking your shoulders up.

Not for bodybuilding. Muhammad Ali may have lost his mind from boxing but he's considered the greatest heavyweight champion of all time and is still one of the most recognized athletes in history. Ronnie Coleman lifted things off the ground.

Watching Ronnie nowadays is kind of depressing. His body is broken, but he keeps trying to train. It's like he struggles more and more every day, and one day he'll creak out one last pathetic set on a machine, whimper a soft "yeah, buddy..." then collapse and die. I wish he would just give it up and try to live the rest of his life healthily.

They were both on fistfulls of gear.
See the guys from the 60s-70's didn't have the litteraly crazy as fuck shit that the guys in the 90's did.
Not even Billy "The chemist" Zane could have imagined the shit guys from that era took and are taking today.

That and the contest was not about the biggest AND leanest they could get. It was about getting big and looking above "natural" but not inhuman.

They for the most part were hardy and lucky enough to survive that time.

Hell, most of the guys I worshipped and lifted to look like from the bodybuilding era of the 90's are all either fat with perma screwed up endocrine systems, dead or dying.
Coleman and Yates are litterally the lucky ones.

Yes. Because odds are you're going to end up with bad knees, achy joints, and overall fucked up when you get ''older''' anyway. All the guys I work with are 20+ years older that me, and they all have bad knees, and are overweight.

None of them lifted or were athletic at any point in their life, and they all ''played it safe."
None of them truly lived life; Maybe Ronnie didn't live the life you approve of, but at least he lived the one he wanted to.

>>39138624
This is why I always side-eye people who are like, "Don't worry about being short, sure the tall guys have it good as younguns but when you get older you'll still be spry and their bodies will be falling apart." Unless you're short because of birth/health related shenanigans (and I increasingly suspect that most cases of short stature are due to that, complex stat analysis be damned), in which case your body has been shit since childhood and it's only really down from 25.
>>
>>39146202
You need to make an effort to think more clearly
>>
>>39136771
All US-americans write this ridiculous "motivational" shit. It's actually just embarassing. Look at this roided up guy. His ability to walk is as small as his balls.

frank zane doesnt look like that full time. Most of these old lifters will only blow up to a fraction of their previous size every so often when they decide to do a photo shoot or a major media apperance to prove they can do it if they wanted.

The reason guys like Zane live so long is because they dont abuse gear into their old age and cruise at trt levels. No one is at bodybuilder size above age 50. Being big by normie standards however is possible well into your 70's, pic related. Andreas only cares about lifting heavy shit, being lean as fuck and blowing up the gram
>>
>>39146477
Probably legal replacement therapy.

>>39143267
