Sup /fit/, i have been lurking for a long time but i don't post regularly. I am 18 years old and figured i should pick up lifting again. Last time i lifted i was 16 and i followed the subreddits guidelines and it didn't get me very far. 5x5 took my bench from 22.5 kg to 40 kgs, that's all. The only thing i got from those 4 months worthy of bragging of is maybe that i was legpressing 4x my bodyweight.

For the record i am a mix between mesomorph and ectomorph, leaning towards ectomorph. I find it impossible to gain any weight at all, i have tried, i just cant. Now that i am 18, i have got a lot more testosterone and a rather impressive beard for someone my age. I went to a gym and did a regular 5x5 routine and added some curls and brosplit arm, core workouts after. I saw how much arms were bulging more than they ever had so i think this time around my gains will improve a lot more. I read somewhere that people who are ectomorph/mesomorph mixes should just give up on bulking and just go for the regular brosplit and gain volume instead of a lot of strength. Do yall agree? Btw my i have Persian genes and everyone in my family seems to have it rather easy to gain weight/muscle. My cousin is swole as a motherfucker and he does the regular brosplit. So ill appreciate any help

Keep training legs that's for sure
Maybe start bench press, squats, deadlifts before moving on to isolations, but make sure you do squeeze workouts for chest (e.g. flys) or your chest will be deformed.
Also cardio, it doesn't kill gains that's- just a meme, and it will help your overall health

Always cut before you bulk, don't cut too much as you're just starting out and cutting is hard/painful

Well you are quite a low weight so maybe cut for a week or so, then start bulking again, you are quite a low weight for your height so you can't have much fat to lose

All of the excess fat i have is on my belly, i have a about a handful on my belly. The rest is spread out but there is quite a lot on my belly. Alright ill cut, is cutting down to 110 pounds alright?
Btw cutting is really easy for me since i have crazy metabolism and a very shitty appetite
