Hey fit,
I'm going to build a home gym, but I just want to start with adjustable dumbbells, bench, and maybe Pullup bar. Does anyone have recommendations in regards to buying them? I live in Australia
Thanks /fit/
I just don't want up overpay for equipment by buying from rebel sport or something similar.

gumtree will turn up something, keep an eye out every afternoon and saturday morning
basics are:
adjustable bench 30-100
barbell 20-50
barbells 20-50
ezy bar, 20-50
weights (if you are paying more than $1/kilo just wait until someone sells a bunch of unused unloved rusty ones)
go to the park for chinups.

It's not good to do, but I do it.... Sorry mother
If it was me I just wouldn't get a bench. Do your presses on the floor, it's safer for your shoulders.
Also you can get a barbell and do Floor Press, Barbell Row, OHP, Deadlift and Hack Squats without needing a bench or a squat rack/Cage. This is probably what I'd go for personally...
Get a door mounted pull up bar.
One of the best $20s you'll ever spend in terms of gains.
Do a set of 50-70% rep max pull-ups every time you walk under the bar and you will be busting out double your current max in a few weeks.
