The reason you don't see many successful fighters who are crazy jacked is speed/technique/fight iq beats raw strength/power almost every time. Why maintain all that muscle so you can fight people naturally taller and heavier than you when you're just putting yourself at a height/reach disadvantage? Pretty silly thing to do when fighting is what puts food on the table for you and your family

gleison tibau is a big lightweight too.

The current 170 pound champion, Tyron Woodley is short and yoked, although he has a very long reach. Current 205 pound champion, Daniel Cormier is short and chubby. Former HW champion Cain Velasquez was short and chubby.
