if you do barbell rows with any considerate weight you wouldn't be able to do pull ups that aren't weighted, making them useless

if you do bench press with any considerate weight, you wouldn't be able to overhead press any kind of good weight for the 8-12 and if you are a beginner and don't know your body you will likely injury yourself because of pushing yourself too hard

just add isolations to your SS for example the lateral raises, pull ups, dips, overhead extensions and hammer curls are good for aesthetics

The routine looks pretty good. Look m8, there is no such a thing as a "better overall" routine than other, the "BEST" routine there is, is the routine that gets YOU to YOUR goal as fast as possible, while enjoying it.

I'm going to supose that the routine you posted is a PPLPPLX or PPLXPPLX, where you kinda do both push/pull/leg days in a week.

Pick SS: 3 1hour or less long workouts vs 6 1 hour or more long workouts a week

Pick the PPL routine, while eating on a small surplus (200ish calories above maintenance) and do weekly progression (adding weight to the first exercise each week with good form). The routine has a lot of volume (a bit too much IMO for a begginner but depends on you and on your surplus), which is the main muscle builder driver, and the exercise selection is pretty good.

Begginer fatty? if so, then i would say yes that is too much volume for a deficit. But the only way to know is to try it out.

If you need to loose 20lb of fat, i would suggest you to not go too crazy in the deficit. Your body isn't stupid, if you have got that much fat to loose, and you lift intense enough, you will gain muscle (not much though) and loose fat at the same time, but only if the deficit isn't crazy. Try 500calories below your maintenance.

Try a couple weeks with that much volume. If you are not reaching the end of the workouts because you are literally exhauster, it doesn't mean you are a pussy, it just means it is too much volume for YOU on a DEFICIT. If it is, i would suggest:

>3x5 on main lifts (excpet DL 1x5 still)
>2, 1 or even no set of the isolated exercises (depends on how gassed out you are when you get to them)

Might seem low on volume, but in a deficit gaining weight on the main lifts will be way better for you than stacking endless isolated volume. Plus also think that you are doing that day TWICE per week, that is huge for someone on a deficit that also is a newbie.

PPL is a God send routine that lets you hit your body with both volume and intensity. Filling the routine with exercises that actually work for you is the hard part. Trial and error over time with workouts that work best for you and your body is what you should be focusing on for now. Also, eat enough to fill your goals. I was doing my own modified PHAT routine, on Heavy Upper day, I would start with heavy deadlifts, then 2pl8+ barbell rows for reps, then follow up with weighted chin-ups with a 65lb dumbbell between my legs, 65lb added was my max and I could manage three good weighted chinup reps. Took some time to build up to it but it is possible.

Thanks man I was on 1500 cals but i'm a manlet so at 5'11 that sounds fine. First few weeks will be shitty so i'd cut back a set on each accessory and slowly add them back as you adapt to the routine.

Also when you reach your goal weight definitely do this on a slight bulk or maintenance at least or you'll stall hard like I did.

I hit 77.5kg x5 Bench, 100kg/2pl8 squat, 140kg/3pl8 dl and 45kg ohp before I stalled and started to have to bulk, I imagine you're taller/heavier than me so your mileage will go further before you start to stall.
