Hey /fit/ how do I become more high energy?

I've noticed that especially if I lift throughout the week I feel tired all day. I sleep 8 hours a day every day so it isn't a sleep problem.

>>
How's your diet? Do you get enough sun?
>>
>>39089603
OP this seriously helped me. I suggest picking this up.
>>
Speed or Coke.
>>
>>39089691
>>39089603
How often/far do you run?
>>39089685
I don't get that much sun but I take a vitamin D3 supplement. I do IIFYM for diet but I suppose some of the foods could be cleaner.
>>
>>39089799
Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so you have to take it with a fatty meal or fish oil for maximum absorption.

And I usually run 5k three times a week. It's not much but it keeps me feeling good.
>>
>>39089799
3 miles nonstop for starters.
>>
>>39089822
Thanks good advice, I cant believe that I didn't know that about vitamin D.

medfag here, ill chime in.
you need to give us some more background info op.

1. whats your diet honestly like?
2. what sort of exercise do you do?
3. when are you most tired?
4. how much caffine, alcohol and other drugs do you consume on a daily basis?
>>
>>39090205
1.I eat 40/30/30 c/f/p at 3000 calories a day. Usually breakfast is oats and protein shake, lunch is 2 PB&J sandwiches and granola bar. Dinner varies by day but makes it so that I hit my macro goal.

2. I lift 3-4x a week and play basketball 2x a week

3. I am most tired in the morning and around 2 pm.

4. I have 1-200mg of caffine when I wake up. I also take 200mg of caffine at around 2pm 1-2x a week.

any specific reason you chose those macro ratios?

Right off the bat my first issue would be a lack of variety is denying your body access to vitamins, minerals and other micro nutrients nessicary for proper regulation of hormone levels which could induce lethargy. How many servings of dark green/leafy vegetables (spinach, kale, broccoli) would you say you consume daily?

Being tired first thing in the morning can be indicative of a wide range of issues from poor sleep hygine to sleep apnea.
do you toss and turn when you sleep? do you wake up repetedly in the night for reasons other than peeing? have you been told you regularly snore?
>>
>>39090374
No particular reason for those macro ratios. Seemed to be close to 1g/lb protein as well as 100g fat which seems to be recommended often.

I might have one serving every other day of dark green/leafy vegetables.

Don't snore/wake up in middle of night. Sometimes I toss and turn but it is not a regular thing.
>>
>>39090434
ok, its not garunteed to be the root of the problem but if you arent getting at least 3 servings each day of spinach/broccoli your test levels arent as high as they should be and your cortisol levels are going to be spiking more frequently.

The best thing you can do right now aside from consuming more vegetables is establish a nightly routine that allows for better sleep hygine. Dont use your bed for anything but sleep, dont stare at bright screens of any sort at least a couple hours before bed and make the last thing you drink, maybe an hour or so before bed, a cup of camomile tea.

Melatonin can also be useful for more restful sleep but be wary not to consume more than 1.5 mg a night. A healthy pituitary gland doesnt normaly secrete more than 1-2mg a day and yet most of the supplements out there range from 5-10mg.

Meditate. I meditate one per day for a 10 minute interval, sometimes twice, and it leaves me feeling pretty stoked for the rest of the day.

That there is a guide to meditation without all the hippy spiritual hoodoo voodoo bullshit.

/fit/, what is the exact name of the "take your daily dose of vitamin D" guy again?
And give his screencaps. I love how he gave that guy kidney failure.

it's all mental bro

like when you get energy before a big lift

you think on shit that makes you high energy

it's just that

obviously crashing isn't normal, but unless you feel like shit like you haven't sleep more than 4 hours and feel sleepy then it's normal low energy
>>
>>39093991
I get light headed and lose energy before a lift
what's up with that
>>
>>39089596
Stop fapping and stop porn.
Honestly it works.
I was fapping 4 times a day which has helpedorchitis developt(swollen, infected testicle).
Im on 4 weeks antibiotics for it
I go to bed at 1, wake at 7 and get so much shit done each days its amazing.
been lifting or swimming everyday and still go out, I dont drink nearly as much and Im still 'in the zone'
>>
>>39094001

before or after a lift?

i mean, before a lift you should be so pumped of energy that you should feel the pressure in the head popping your veins
>>
