Well that's fine then. As for your pain you should pull the proverbial "deal with it" and then also do your squats with better form. Maybe you could even switch to highbar squats?

Not sure how else to advise you but if your pain isn't spinal then you're not totally fucked.

Leg press can still put shearing force on your lumbar spine.

I have a very fucked up back due to a car accident
>Front squats:
in power cage with moderate weight and high reps. Set the pin height with an empty bar to ensure you don't get lumbar strain by going too low. Do several warm up sets to work up to your working weight. I do 30% 5RM, 40%5RM, 50%5RM, 60%RM, and then do working sets in the 70 to 80% range. You still CAN hurt your low back in a front squat so focus on volume and not max weight for the next six months.

watch Bret Contreras vids on how to do this. These are great

These look gay but are awesome for your glutes and is self-limiting: pretty hard to fuck your back up with this.

If your gym doesn't have a prowler or a reverse hyper, it's worth switching to a gym that does.
Prowler pushes are mistakenly used as a conditioning tool when hill sprints are better. Prowler pushes really shine at fairly heavy weights as they have many of the advantages of a leg press but only contain the concentric portion of the lift. Pushing on the lower handles will result in more quad activation, the high handles work more of the hamstring and glutes. Always use the prowler on the same surface or otherwise the friction level will change. My prowler workout is 3-5 warm up sets, and then I'll do 10x25x650lbs yard on astroturf with 3 min rests between sets.

I did start doing some low weight front squats and it was indeed good. I must confess I felt pretty ashamed for doing a low weight so that's why I switched to leg press. I'm a dumbfuck.

I cannot do the other ones, but the barbell glute bridge raise sounds good. I've been doing hip thrusts though. What is your opinion on them? don't they provide more range of motion? also I can't see how they target the hamstrings. I could only feel my glutes with I do the hip thrusts.

Went too heavy on squats a couple weeks ago. Have taken a full weeks rest of not touching any lower back related. First week I did bodyweight hypertension to try and stimulate the muscle/surrounding area. Made it feel a little bettee

Usually if it's muscular, it hurts a lot more when you move it.

Spinal will hurt even if you're not moving. When I first started I was about to snap my shit but I was only squatting 60 pounds it didn't do anything too bad. Muscle pain is usually not in the exact middle of your back either.
