Any wrestlers or ex-wrestlers here?
What was your weight during the season versus now?
I was 140 lbs my senior year in high school and now im 180, about two years later.
149 in college, three years later 180,
Wrestled 174/184 six years ago. Got up to 225 couple of years ago (lifting like crazy) then suffered a shoulder injury. Dropped down to 180 again. Worked my way back up to 205 now, feel better than ever! People always freak out over weight fluctuations like that lol helps to know how to do it right
Wrestled 126 until junior year and then was 132 my senior year. Did body building for a year, got to 180 at 5'6 which was fucking crazy looking back and then lost it all after leaving college and working so much. Currently 150lbs rn, gaining weight fast and doing Texas method

stick with it.
wrestling is one of the toughest sports in existence, but you will keep that grit and work-ethic with you for the rest of your life if you grind it out... and who knows, you might actually get good at it.

at my highschool, we got Letterman's for wrestling, they kicked major ass.
184 dropped down to 165 because I was a lazy junky
My freshmen year I was skinnyfat, I was 165 and 5'10 with thin arms and legs. Icut my way down to 152. My sophomore year I cut down to 145, though it was a bit unhealthy, because I am 6 feet tall, so this year I'm back up to 165, but i'm 10 percent bodyfat.

Keep with it. Hardest hs sport there is in America. Football do with any come close.
After you finish hs don't just stop with the fit was tho, after that keep doing mma and wrestling and lifting. That was my mistake, dont repeat it.

How'd you lose the weight
Started 98, ended hs at 125, now I am 150 5yr later.

Pro-tip: don't starve yourself. You'll feel like shit and be weak AF. Side note, do grip work like a mofo. It's always nice to have control of anything you grab!

I wrestled in the 215 lb class back in'95, '96 during freshman and sophomore year in high school . I weighed in at around 210 at 6'. Now I'm 36, 6'1", 350 lbs. I just started lifting for the first time in about 18 years. Maybe I'll make it.
