Pausing for a moment to alternate a mixed grip and/or get more chalk is fine. Recovering from a set of one rep is not.

If you do 1 rep then wait 10 seconds for rep 2 then you just did a set of 1 with a 10 second rest for the next set. Reps are consecutive.
