Women have ALWAYS had weak yes-men tag alongs who are useful for getting attention from but are otherwise too unattrative or effeminate to be worth rewarding with sex.

Back before all this SJW crap we called em bird dogs, atleast in my neck of the woods.

Youd see some group of pretty girls (a flock of birds) go strutting by, then yup, 2 or 3 steps behind the pack would be their bird dog pursuing them.

A skinny vaguely effeminate lonley loser. We hadnt even started calling them betas yet, back then they were just losers.

They would enthusiastically agree with anything a woman said, would by them shit, and try to puff up thier weak spindly chests and get defensive when you talked to "their girls."

Which was funny cuz the bitch would never admit what they were doing, even "back then."

They would say "ohhhh dont mind eustace the computer nerd, hes just like a really good friend, like a brother!" (Yeah right hon, he just makes you feel flattered by tagging along like a labradore and spoon feeding you constant positive re-enforcement for no reward so you let him remain in orbit)

Its no different today, terminology has changed but the behavior hasnt.
