What's considered to be a good runtime? Weightlifting has stuff like 1/2/3/4, but what about cardio?
>>
10k/45 mins = 1/2/3/4
>>
Isn't a 7 minute mile the rule of thumb?
>>
>>38873149
I would probably say being able to average 7 minutes/mile for a 5k. I have no running talent and I broke a 20:00 5k after a few months training.
>>
100m = 12s
200m= 26s
400m 55s
1mile= 6m

But beginner might be
13s/30s/1minute/7
>>
>>38873692

Your 200m time should be nowhere near double your 100m time you fucking retarded. Do you know how acceleration works?
>>
>>38873692

How the absolute fuck is someone with a 13s 100m gonna have a 30s 200m...
>>
>>38873753
Yeah, I was looking at that and it was kind of a low time, but in defense of that, bolts 200m is double his 100m.
>>
>>38873771
I meant sub 13s and sub 30s btw. Also if you can't run a sub 30 200 you are officially slow by normie standards.

3 hour marathon
24 hour 100 mile

It depends on how long it takes to go from bar/bar/half plate/1 to 1/2/3/4

I ran XC in highschool.

6 minute mile, 21 minute 5k is the "I only ran during XC/Track season" starter pack.

5:30 mile, 18:00 5k is the "I hope to be on the varsity team one day" pack.

5:00 mile, 16:30 5k is when you reach the point of running 5-7 miles every day, and you haven't missed a day in over 2 years. You're good enough that you can compete in 5k invitationals.

Personally I would put 1/2/3/4 in the same category as 5:30 mile, 18:00 5k
>>
Ugh how do you guys get motivated to run, I've been doing it on my off days and it's so boring.

Only appropriate answer in thread
