trap bar deadlift is great because it works your quads like a squat and back like a deadlift.

where it falls short is in hamstring activation. so do rdls. problem solved.

i love trap bar. i've spent so long adjusting my form on squat and deadlift and always had odd pains. first time i picked up a trap bar every problem i had instantly went away.

it's no wonder they're heavily used by pro athletes.

I used a trap bar in highschool, it was amazing how much weight you can lift with that thing. I've never used straps, but that's the closest I've come to considering it.

Is it actually cheating? I can DL lmao2pl8 with the barbell, but if I throw that on the trap bar, it is just *too* easy. Not to mention it's much easier to grip.

It has better leverages and is less taxing on your lower back so that's not a limiting factor

Trapbar deadlifts are closer to dumbbell squats than actual deadlifts. There's a reason you don't just squat as a replacement for deadlifts.
