>Not doing trapbar deadlifts
Enjoy your herniated spine retards
GIVE ME ONE REASON YOU'RE NOT DOING THEM BESIDES "MUH MARCUS DYELTOE"
My gym doesn't have one

I compete in the sport of powerlifting

120kg weightclass?
What'd you total at your last meet, fatass
Because when the center of gravity is further in front of you, it carries over to how things are in the real world.

198, 1400

Because there's no reason to do trap bar deads if you're already squatting?
>>38854144
It doesn't work the lower back as much as a deadlift, it's mostly upper back. I use a trap bar for farmer's walks, then hit lower back and core with heavy kettlebell swings.
>>38854176
Oh okay
I guess that's a legitimate reason why. Any other reason besides powerlifting?
>>38854174
in life outside the gym, you wont be deadlifting something that is +4pl8 heavy, unless you are not a professional powerlifter.
but i do do them, as well as straight bar deadlifts
>>38854144
Most trap bars only hold low 500's unless you have thin plates, so if you're not a bitch you won't be able to go very heavy.

>500 is too little for mr bigshot here
What kind of person deadlifts 4x12 trapbar 500lb+?
>>38854232
Anything less than 700 on a trap bar is pretty light desu. Raise your game.
>>38854232
Anyone who's a 500ish conventional deadlifter. Trap bar pulling is much, much easier than regular.
>>38854239
>>38854242
Not THAT much easier
>>38854232
>4x12 deadlifts
>laughing whores.wav
Because a trap bar deadlift is just a standing leg press
>>38854260
Speaking from experience? Your conventional is going to be 70-80% of your trap bar pull the first time you use the trap bar and it can drop a bit with practice.
Depends on build and such, but for many people there's an insane difference between their trap bar weight and their conventional weight.
