Doing more pushups will allow you to do more pushups. Do 3 sets of 15 with a 2 minute rest between sets. If a 2 minute rest isn't enough time to get your 15 reps in, then wait 3 minutes between sets.

Start your workout with pushups. Go 10 sets all till failure. No rest days. Do that shit everyday until the gay goes away.

Listen nigga, situps and body weight squats for high reps is fucking retarded.
Rule of thumb, (you'd fucking know this if you read the sticky)
If you can only manage 1-5 reps, you are training maximal strength
If you can only manage 6-12 reps, you are training for muscular hypertrophy (only really works properly for certain muscle groups and roiders)
If you are capable of doing 15-40 reps, you are training muscular endurance, this is useless unless you train in sports where that specific muscle group is needing the ability to perform sustained high intensity. Your biceps don't need this. Your abs don't need this, your almost fucking everything doesn't need this. If your sport involves sprinting, this may help.
If you are capable of performing 50-100+ reps, YOU ARE DOING CARDIO. If you want to train cardio, why not do a more efficient form of cardio, like swimming, running, cycling, fuck even walking. Think about it logically. If the force required to perform an exercise is so low that you can do it for dozens and dozens of times, it means the muscle is just being used for a low intensity exercise again and again until the muscle is fatigued. There's almost no stimulus to adapt the muscle if you are already adequate at doing it for a long period of time.
