Alright /fit/, /v/irgin here who got fed up with being a blob of fat and started working out

Everything is going swimmingly but fuck me the after-pain is killing my sorry ass after I exercise. I'm exercising by following bodybuilder instructions so I don't do anything bad but I still feel like a sack of shit after I'm done. The sticky mentioned something about foam rollers in critical areas (?) but the link just gives me a Page not Found. And yeah I stretch before and after exercising

tl;dr I'm a fat fuck how do I prevent post-exercise pains?

Thanks anons. I probably should've posted this in the QTDDTOT thread but too late for that I guess

So basically I should man the fuck up and tough through it, but out of curiosity do regular painkillers have any negative effects? I've been avoiding those after being told so

Sack the "bodybuilder instructions", buy SS and then do SS.

Also eat more calories (although your a fat fuck so eat at maintainance or a vet slight surplus instead) and get plenty of protein. Also, stop playing vidya until 4am and get some fucking sleep for once in your life too.

Thats pretty much it. Do linear progression program, eat right and sleep. Foam rolling is a great aid to recovery but food and sleep and properly programmed rest days are the main factors. Also consider a vitamin D supplement along with fish oil.

The hell's an SS? As for the rest of your points I try to not eat that much. It's more about what I eat not getting burned through the day

One of the reasons I wanted to go to a gym for starters was my botched sleep cycle so I can get tired earlier and go the fuck to sleep properly. I know there's the whole FUCKING NORMIES REEEE cancerous culture floating around /v/ but I wanna distance myself from video games and get a god damn life
