I went through this exact thing going to school. You gotta show up and try it out a few times. I joined Rugby, but it ended up being a joke. Looked around at other options, but they were all also a joke. Finally tried Judo because my friend recommended it. Everyone was super legit, the conditioning was no fucking joke, met a bunch of dope foreign exchange students and learned to shreck anyone wearing an abnormally heavy weight fabric coat.
