So is there no point of working your abs unless you're </=10% bf?

What is Aleppooo?
>>38786345
a stronger core leads to bigger lifts
>>38786345
I definitely don't have <=10% bf and I can already see my fourpack well. If those muscles were bigger I'd see them better.
Anyways, see it like this: Prepare your muscles for the time when you will have <=10% bf.

You get strong core from ohp/push press/oh squat/squat/deadlift
Not babbyweight isolations
>>38786345
Under 15% if ever.
100% of people who claim they cannot get ab definition from compound exercises
-do not push press
-do not brace properly, or have weak lifts.
>>38786434
Push press
>>38786460
Every single power lifter and proper powerlifting routine use/recommend core work.
>>38786616
>implying powerlifters push press
Strongmen don't
If powerlifters replaced core work with push press, they would almost certainly get better results.
You cant hold 250lb overhead and not have a strong core
>>38786643
Isn't a push press basically just a cheating OHP?
>>38786643
But working your core enables you to hold heavy weight safely.
If you dont think guys who can DL 1000lb dont work their core you are stupid.
There is good reason to work core, keeps posture good, lifts are safer and you can lift more weight with good form.

>Isn't a push press basically just a cheating OHP?
No. It's a different lift. You can go heavier which obviously puts more work on shoulders and core.
If you strict press 135x5 you can try push pressing like 155-165x3, nice for plateaus and it's just fun to do

This.
Not working your core because "it's unneccessary" is lazy and dumb, just like neglecting cardio.
Do planks, stomach vacuums on off days idiots. It won't harm your core lifts at all
