its incredibly easy to disarm someone at close range, plus, if someone can fight, they can knock you out before you have a chance to get your gun out. you dont walk around with your gun out and people dont warn you before assaults.

the argument isnt about fighting in a bar. its about if fighting is useful. lets be honest, most americans dont walk around with a gun, especially if they are going on a night out or something. trolling aside, and serious for a second, obviously people who do mma or boxing, do it for the sport, and not because they can beat up random people in the street but if they are attacked, they are obviously going to have a big advantage over someone who cant fight. knowing how to fight also gives people confidence as they are aware that if they offend anyone they have the ability to defend themselves. i doubt people get into contact sports because they think fighting matters, they do it because they like the sport
