One day when I was working with my dad, we just stopped by a house and fixed her storm door. At the top of the door, it had been yanked away from the wood due to some bad weather (apparently the guy that installed it only put the screws into plastic, not in the wood) and we had to basically just screw the door into place, caulk the area to fix up where the wood got fucked up and that was it.

My dad is like an ultimate handyman. He has his own construction business, but now that he's older he doesn't do as much of the actual construction work, he does a lot more of driving around jobsites to inspect them, and doing odd jobs like the one I just described.

The point of all that shit was that people do get paid to do "simple shit" at other people's homes because either they don't want to do it or they don't know how or they don't have the time.
