Build those traps, keep hands in close. One thumb off the smoothe
thumb over the bar instead of under and or remove fingers from the bar when gripping it.

The bar isn't supposed to sit on your shoulders nigga. It rests on your traps.
if doing high bar back squats make sure your elbows are pointed straight down towards the ground and keep a fairly narrow grip. this position should basically retract your scapula and flex your traps, where the bar will lay across. play around with how far up/down the bar sits on your traps. too high could hurt your neck, a little lower could place pressure on spine, too low pressure on shoulders. just right will probably be a little lower on the traps.
