I did a quick Fermi estimation a while back in a thread here claiming average male arm sizes in some random study was wrong because of lifters.

End result was that, even using overly generous numbers (e.g. 100% of us have 22" arms, ridiculous amount of gyms with unrealistic occupancy per capita), we practically didn't budge the numbers.

So many people are so bad at looking beyond their tiny microcosm.
