So Friday is basically leg day for me.
I do
>squats 5x8 at 225
>hammer strength leg extensions, 5x10 with 45 on each leg
>leg presses, 5x8 at 450
>calf raises 4x8 with the whole stack however much that is (140 I believe)
My question is, are leg presses really useless? Some chad motherfucker came up to me today and told me they were, and I should "just do squats", even after I told him I just finished a ton of squatting.
Should I replace it with another exercise? I feel like its helped my squat quite a bit and I only do legs once a week, and they hit my quads pretty hard, but I don't know of anything better.

Fuck full body, I made gains doing ppl and some fags told me to hop on a beginner program, I just got fatter and my squat went up like 30 pounds. If you wanna look good just stick to your split

Leg press isn't bad if your goal is just hypertrophy, but like anon said you're still a beginner and will get best gains by doing squats with more frequency.
If you want to build a bigger squat, you could do paused squat or front squat for more specificity of training. Or you could just do full body 3-4 times a week, not SS since you're probably near the end of your true novice stage but texas method or madcows or something.

Is this just your personal opinion? Cause for a beginner it's fine. Hell, I've made it to 455 DL 365 squat 275 bench and 185 Standing Barbell Overhead ThePress by doing a template just like SS and I'm perfectly fine.
