You should in your first 6 month.

For 5rm not 1rm

Only exceptions are manlet.

If starting as an uberskelly, maybe 9 months

Pic is me, clearly a fatty

Now op has to prove he isnt dyel (he is)

>>
>>38601920
op this is true. its just that the people who will post here are either strong, lying, or fat and strong

some people dont have athletic backgrounds, are manlets, skellys, etc. using 1/2/3/4 as a benchmark for strength when people vary so much is idiotic.
>>
>>38602050
Dude i had "intermediate" bench and dead according to that site literally my first day ever lifting.

also for people who arent 10lb manlets, these lifts are a lot less difficult

If it takes more than 9 months to 5rm 1/2/3/4, then consider suicide
>>
Are these 1RMs?
>>
>>38602208

5'9 here, was also "intermediate" when i first started lifting

after 1.5 years i'm proficient bordering on advanced in most lifts

i tihnk untrained and novice categories are for women

>>
>>38602235
>>38602208
Godamn. When I started I couldn't even bench the bar. about a year later and I'm intermediate in all lifts except OHP :(
>>
>>38602228
Says 5rm in the op image, dingus
>>
>>38602249
I dunno why you're laughing m8.

My conventional and sumo are pre much identical give or take a few kg.

There's a reason why both Sumo and Conventional are allowed in the same competitions, stop being a memeing cunt who thinks one has a massive advantage over the other you autistic 4channing piece of human trash.
>>
>>38602264
Don't listen to those faggots.
It's all genetics breh
>>
>>38602293

You're something of an outlier in that respect. Most people who train both are significantly better at one or the other.

It's just bloody inconsistent as to which is which and averages out to about the same.
>>
>>38602293
Sumo is a more efficient movement breh, it allows for a smaller rom, more quad usage, better leverages, etc.

If you really put effort into both, sumo should always be stronger
>>
>>38602309

That's completely false, as it happens. Those 'better leverages' are actually disadvantageous for a good chunk of the population, turns out you can't always translate a smaller rom into an easier movement.
>>
>>38602297
>muh genetics
Ironic that someone so physically weak would also be mentally weak.

And by ironic i mean predictable, because mental strength begets all other forms of strength. Keep playing the victim to existence, fgt.
>>
>>38602264
>couldnt bench the bar

Less than 5ft confirmed
>>
>>38601920
>75kg
>man

pick one
>>
Personally I hit 1/2/3/4 like 9 months into SS
also im 6'0 so it should easily be doable for you ungifted manlets
>>
Me be, training for 13 months:
> 91kg BW
> 182kg back squat
> 208kg deadlift
> 80kg bench
> 150kg front squat
> 104kg clean
> 77kg jerk
> 65kg snatch

Eat more, faggots
>>
>>38602475
lolol nice bench mr t-rex
>>
A lot of people have bad form or bad nutrition which makes them think it's impossible
>>
>>38602323
So, by your logic, he can't bench intermediate numbers on his first day because he's too "mentally weak" ?

Jesus this place is shit
>>
You should, but for 1 rep not 5.
>>
>>38602475
>training for 13 months
>not even bodyweight bench

Hahaahaha
>>
Everyone has the capability to reach 1/2/3/4 within first year.

But if you don't eat properly then you won't, I'm guessing that's why so many people here seem not to reach it so soon.

Gonna hit a lmao2pl8 squat on Sunday.

Took like 6 weeks for that. Plus It's only getting harder so idk if I'm gonna hit 3 plates on SS...kinda worried bros
>>
>>38603350
How much did you start at?
>>
>>38601979
Now post yourself doing a 1 plate OHP for 5 reps with good form.

Protip:
You can't
>>
>>38601979
why would you post that
arent you embarrassed?

i doubt you can do any of the intermediate lifts x 5 from OPs pic
>>
>>38601920
when they say backsquat. do they mean lowbar or highbar?

i guess lowbar right? i mean i can squat the same front than i can squat back with highbar
>>

At Lmao1pl8
>>
>>38603350
>tfw closer to 1pl8 ohp and 2pl8 bench then 3pl8 deadlift
My leverages are just bad. R-right?
>>
>>38603777
You really shouldn't ever stall on your deadlift

Weight is over the middle of the foot
Hips are nice and high
Knees are bent
Chest is up
>>
just so atleast one posts real stats let me share you mine.

>starting stats:
183cm
65kg
20years
~13% bf

40kg bench
40kg squat 1/2 rom since no flexibility
40kg deadlift with absolute shit from because again no flexibilty
20kg ohp

reps vary from 1 to 8 since i had no program and just fcked around

>current stats
183cm
78kg
23years
~15%bf

prs:
90kg x 5 bench
105kg x 5 squat
135kg x 5 deadlift
62,5kg x2 ohp

on average going to the gym 2-3 times per week.
i dont track calories, i dont take supplements or gear

i had 2 surgeries and was sick 2-3 times / year which caused some loss of Progress

twice fucked up when i tried to cut and lost alot of strength

all in all i think im the perfect example to what may happen to an average guy who starts Lifting but has no interest in it consuming his real life which means having time for gf, Family, Hobbies, University and part time job

hope it hekps someone to get some real expectations while still having a normal life and not go full Autist Lifting mode
>>
>>38603824
Haven't stalled on my deadlift, yet but I didn't use to do legs in my first 1.5 months of lifting. 6 months in and the gains continued on my other lifts but the deadlift hasn't caught up yet. Only 120kgx5 ATM.
>>
>>38603861
No, you make excuses. Are you for real? I have more than enough time for 6 sessions a week of 1.5-2 hours and I work full time, am married and have time to play the guitar, volunteer and hang with friends.

You're not committed to anything in your life and it shows.
>>
>>38603861

i dont make excuses i make decisions. and if i choose to not go to the gym when ist good weather ist not an excuse... ist just that im enjoying it more...

>You're not committed to anything in your life and it shows.
how does this Show?
you dont know me and what i achieved.
you Sound frunstrated m8
>>

kek at the people getting mad at your post
>>
>>38603898
not as shitty as before and good enough for Girls to hit on me. so i guess im doing just fine
>>
>>38603906
I am frustrated. You could be so much more if you did things properly and instead you choose mediocrity. I want the best for you and it frustrates me that you don't.

I find time for cardio, weight training and even some boxing. I find time to play the guitar. I find time to volunteer at the Samaritans. I find time to spend with the wife, and I find time to spend on my own, reading or playing video games or whatever. This is all while doing 60 hour work weeks. If I can live a full life, you can too.
>>
>>38603937
>You could be so much more if you did things properly and instead you choose mediocrity. I want the best for you and it frustrates me that you don't.
you know one aspect of my life and now judge about my whole existence. good Job m8.

>If I can live a full life, you can too.
but i am and i am happy. also i didnt ask for advice or criticism or anything i just shared my Lifting Progress so maybe other People can relate

but ist okay. thanks for caring about me so much.

also you forgot that you also have time for shitposting on /fit/

Started training yesterday. 25yo, 192cm, 93kg
squat: 70kg
bench: 45kg
deadlift: 90kg
>>
>>38601920
what's your problem? 85kgx5 bench press is roughly 100kg x1, halfway from intermediate to proficient, say 18 months on average. Now if you do it right, with good nutrition, supplements and routine, you can do in in 12 months instead of 18.
>>
>>38601920
lmao you are a fatty if these are your symmetricstrength-weight standards
>>
>>38602475

How the hell did you train your grip? After 2 years of lifting my grip still fails at 150 for reps. How the fuck do you train 200kg grip in one year?
>>
I was pretty much bang on the untrained when I first started. 11 months later I'm comfortably intermediate in pretty much all lifts. That site seemed pretty damn accurate for me.

With that said, I have a friend who was squatting 100kg x 10 on his first real gym session, and benching around 80kg. He's not even fat, but he is a manlet. Some people are just freaks.
>>
>>38601979
what are your current stats? you look like ur still at 1/2/3/4
>>
>>38602475
fat trex, exactly what i expected. also you do snatch and jerk you clearly went for pure strength man
>>
>>38604660
Satan's trips say yes
>>
>>38604622

The site is very accurate and also the internet is full of estaters. It doesnt account stuff like playing in the park or having a physically demanding job.

It doesnt matter either way how fast people got to 1/2/3/4 because its very rare someone is 2/3/4/5 irl. Most of fit cant even bench 140kg.

It must be brutal to get to 100kg bench in a few months and then never hit 140 cause you stalled for 2+ years.
>>
>>38602475
how tall?
>>
>tfw nearly 7 months lifting and still on 2pl8 squat for 5
>tfw not even at 3pl8 x 5 diddly
>hit ohp 1pl8 for 1 rep 2 months in and haven't progressed since

Lol
>>
>>38601920
Not doing your faggy bro split that you do because of muh I wan ssthetics nao 6 wek abs brrrruuuuhhhhhh
>>
>>38603861
appreciate your post. My stats are corrected for weight about the same.

On top of this, if I compare myself to 90% of the weight training people in my gyms I do better. I don't know were all these sub 1 year 1234 folks live but certainly not in my area.
>>
>>38603861
Thanks for posting this. This seems pretty consistent with what can be expected, especially if you consider fluctuations in motivation.

I've been lifting for about 8 months, went from 77kg to 87kg at 6'4" staying at a fairly constant bf of about 14%. How's my progress considering I'm a lanklet?
>>
With perfect diet, no injuries, and strict adherence to your program you should be able to do it. But in your first year of lifting you will probably get injured, have a shit diet, and make retarded tweaks to your program
>>
>>38601920
>24 year old male
>snatch press

I just don't understand all of this gender bending in current year
>>
>>38605164
Week as shit. I'm 6'2, 9 months in, and my lifts are way better than your's. Are you doing a split or something?
>>
>>38605164
Honestly those stats are shit for 8 months, what programme are you doing?
>>
>>38605200
>>38605241
Spent the first 4 months fucking around on machines 3 days a week and not really making much progress, then realised I was wasting my time, did some research and changed to PPL 6 days a week and have been seeing a lot faster progress since then. I've always found squats a weak point, not sure if that's because my legs are particularly long or if I've just got weak legs.
>>
>>38605286
fair enough, PPL is hard to progress strength on after a while, you just don't have the necessary rest time but u can make some gains on it.

i found squatting particularly difficult on PPL as well but im a lanklet so it could be that. (current squat 120kg)
>>
>>38603866
Yeah that's fine, keep going
>>
>>38605286
Start SS or Sl wtf , I lift more than you with only 4 month of serious training
